About NSS
Students are backbone of society. National service scheme has been playing a vital role in improvement of human life through inculcating social, economic, cultural and ethical values in volunteers. The Motto of NSS "Not Me But You", reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for self-less service. NSS helps the students development & appreciation to other person's point of view and also show consideration towards other living beings.National Service Scheme (NSS) is beneficial to both students as well as the society in various different means. NSS helps the student to grow individually and also as a group. It makes the students confident, develop leadership skills, and gain knowledge about different people from different walks of life. Students also learn other skills that help them lead a better life in various situations. It teaches you to be disciplined and organized with the objectives you set for yourself and your goals. Thus the NSS training activities will help students to develop the qualities of communication, team work, attitude, behavioural aspects and leadership qualities.
NSS unit was established in 2014 in the institute affiliated with Gujarat Technological University. Total strength of the unit was 50 then it was increased to 100 NSS volunteers. NSS Team is comprised of Dr. M. G. Bhatt as Chairman, Mr. P. H. Lakhani as NSS Program Officer, Dr. N. P. Nirmal, Mr. N. P. Soni and Mr. J. G. Parmar as supporting staff for different activities.
