Sports life at SSEC

Sports and games are essentials components of human resource development, holding to promote good health, comradeship and spirit of healthy competition, which in turn, has positive and deep impact on the holistic development of the personality of the youth who is a potential source of energy, enthusiasm and inspiration for development, progress and prosperity of the nation. Usually, in Shantilal Shah Engineering College - Bhavnagar, two types of sports activities are carried out.

1. 1. On campus sports activity, and
2. 2. University level sports activity.

During on campus sports activity, every year sports week is celebrated and various games and sports events are arranged. Students from various departments taking part in the events and enhance their sports capabilities.During sports week, best students in various games are identified and are being motivated to take part in university level competitions. Students are provided with necessary sports equipments and T.A. /D.A. as per the norms as well during the university level competitions.

Our students confidently represented the institute at different levels i.e. Inter Institute Level, Zone Level, University Level, Inter University Level, State Level, National Level etc. in different games, such as

To encourage students to participate in various games and develop sportsman spirit and team spirit among them, institute is constantly looking for the opportunities to upgrade the resources required for different games. The institute's campus is equipped with the following sports infrastructure.
