About Department

Electrical Engineering department had commenced in 2001.The department is involved in rendering quality education by offering undergraduate & postgraduate programs in Electrical Engineering.

In line with the fulfillment of vision & mission of instuition. The department  has been catering theoretical and practical knowledge in various fields to electrical arena like power system and design, Electrical machine and design, High voltage engineering, Electrical measurement ,Power electronics and drives, Control system, Microprocessor, Instrumentation etc. 

The department  has already applied for NBA under Tequip-II .The department has upgraded with latest equipments ,instruments & software like MATLAB; for  enhancement of technical  skills &  competencies.

Mission 

  • To deliver quality Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes in Electrical Engineering.

  • To develop partnership with industrial and government agencies.

  • To develop new technologies in Electrical Engineering to serve the needs of industries, government, society, and the scientific community.

  • To ensure that every student participates at least in one national/international level conference and technical community activities.

  • To develop quality of entrepreneurship among graduates.


Head of Department's Message:

Welcome to the Department of Electrical Engineering at Shantilal Shah Engineering college. The Department is enriched with senior staff having Ph.D and master degree.

Our aim to inspire and educate electrical engineer to be capable of trickling fundamental scientific problems & important societal challenges and to do so with highest commitment to quality, integrity and respect for other.  


Programme Educational Outcomes:

Programme educational objectives (PEOs) are broad statements that describe the career and professional accomplishments that the programme is preparing graduates to achieve. 
PEOs of the UG programme in Electrical Engineering are established through a consultation process with stake holders. These address the following broad aspects.

 

“What our graduates could do best” 
“how our graduates would approach problem solving, using what skills”
“what values our graduates should have”

 

Programme Educational Objectives of the UG in Electrical Engineering are:

PEO1: Apply knowledge of core Electrical Engineering with strong foundation of Mathematics, Basic Sciences & Engineering for solution of complex engineering problems.

PEO2: Demonstrate professional skills, team work, leadership qualities and ethical practices for career enhancement and entrepreneurship.

PEO3: Engage in lifelong learning to adapt with changing professional and societal environments and technological advancements.

PEO4: Recognize and fulfill local and global responsibilities as an Electrical Engineer towards society and community.

 

Programme Outcomes:

Programme Outcomes are narrower statements that describe what students in the programme are expected to know and be able to do upon their graduation. These relate to the skills, knowledge, and behaviour that students acquire during their graduation.
Programme Outcomes of UG Programme in Electrical Engineering are:


PO-1: Apply the knowledge of Mathematics, Basic Sciences & Engineering and Core Electrical engineering fundamentals for solution of complex engineering problems.

PO-2: Identify, formulate and analyze data pertaining to complex Electrical engineering problems to reach substantiated conclusions.

PO-3: Design/develop solutions to complex Electrical engineering problems and design system components within constraints of economy, public health & safety, cultural, societal and environmental aspects.

PO-4: Design and conduct experiments, analyze and interpret data and synthesize information to draw valid conclusions.

PO-5: Select and use modern tools and techniques for Electrical engineering practices.

PO-6: Analyze local and global impact of issues relevant to Electrical Engineering on individuals, organizations, and society.

PO-7: Acknowledge the impact of Electrical Engineering solutions to environment, recognize the need for sustainable development and apply knowledge of Electrical Engineering for the same.

PO-8: Understand importance of, and commit oneself to ethics in professional and social practices.
